“Hey there, how you been?
I’m the voice in your head and I know you been aching
When you find me, let me in
I got power in my hands and it’s yours for the taking..”

I didn’t fall in love with this song right away. But when I really heard it, I realized that it was very close to me. What is it about for me?

It’s about accepting yourself. For some reason, I always had an image in my head of a kind of alien who comes to you and says “man – everything will be fine with you! You have me – here is my strength for you, feel that you are not alone. Feel that I am always next to you”. In general, Yonaka is more than just music for me. That’s why I rarely (almost never) do work on it. Because it seems to me that they will not be enough.

It was in this music that I found support in the most difficult times. It was she who made me who I am. So let this be just the beginning…

Give me a rule, I’ll break it, your conscience needs a shaking
I’ve been here before, I know the mistakes you’ll be making
Forget the past, it’s over, forget being the joker
Let ’em know that you’re home and you’re in control
Gather ’round, here’s how to get what you want
Introduce a new religion of feeling like a boss
You don’t need lessons, you do what you want, it’s refreshing
As soon as you taste independence
You start living life in the present
