“When two are separated by only one step
You and I are like a book
This is our epilogue
Although the memories are countless
We are different in our silence
I’m sorry that I stopped
Holding your hand so tightly”
Is it strange that this is again a work based on a song by Vladislav Hohlan? I really appreciated his poems. They create wonderful images in my head that I embody in my works. At first I wanted to make it with my wife, like two hands, something like what was in the earlier works, but there was a compilation of two pictures, here it was necessary to have one frame because of the shadows, I rethought the idea for myself. Let it be about a new stage of life. I would not like to tie it to any one person, it is more like the emotion that you feel when you break up with someone.
Also on the photo is a thematic poem by the Ukrainian poet Vanya Yakimov:
“Words are sometimes stronger than any medicine,
They are able to heal the sick.
Pay close attention to every word
And don’t waste them once more.
Words are capable of poisoning like poison,
Make your way inside, burning your veins.
Even if it was misunderstood
And it is said without malice at all.
I remind you if someone has forgotten:
We have tremendous power
Heals and hurts with all that is pronounced,
Everything between us will go on air.
You haven’t weighed it, you haven’t considered it – keep silent.
Words fly in a closed circle:
We should be a little more careful with each other
Behave.”
