I rarely find anything interesting in the Ukrainian pop scene, but the band Kazka, in places, is something else.
A few months ago they released a song, the video for which did not leave me aloof. The other day I came across it again, and… decided that I needed to do some work. I liked how the small photos moved in the clip (I highly recommend checking out the original clip for understanding), and I wanted to take a picture of something like that. But…
Spring happened outside the window, and I remembered that I could change this idea. I started remembering where we had “suitable windows.” I found a few. It occurred to me that it should be something colored on a gray background, so this is a compilation of two pictures. There is still an idea at most, because we have a place in the library with a bunch of small windows. We could do something different in each window.
I am grateful for the bee that I managed to catch at work today. At first it was supposed to be just a flower, but we are not interested in photographing flowers. We need action. So yes, while someone is trying to take a macro shot of a bee – I laugh in their face and say “but that’s just part of the whole idea!”
I think I will have other works for this piece.
