I’ll tell you a little about my penultimate work and how I approached it and why certain elements were used.
I’ll start by saying that the reason for this work was my last communication with a person, which lasted about half a year. It was interrupted for a certain period, but resumed (hello previous post), and everything was fine. Until we again mentioned that a person cannot understand why I consider myself to be the middle sex and do not perceive myself as a man. Any arguments were incomprehensible to her, so… I followed the path of creativity.

My first “pen test” was a thermal camera shot. I became curious about whether it was possible to somehow diversify a monochrome image by adding neon colors. Later it will result in this:

But I came to the conclusion that this is not the result I would like. The thing is that neon paint applied to the back side does not give the result. To draw contours along the letters… it seemed uninteresting and difficult to me. So I made a test sample and that’s it, I’m done with this idea.

Some people may not understand why I shave my legs (except that I feel comfortable with them). Let me explain – here is a sample photo of my legs that were unshaved. Do you enjoy looking at such an image? I don’t. By the way, that person said that she likes hairy men. Well. This photo is my gift to her :). I used flesh-colored tights so that the paper on which the text was printed was pressed as tightly as possible against the leg.

Compared to my previous experience, I decided not to bother with my thermal camera and use a full-fledged printer. First of all, it will allow me to print this faster and more completely. That’s what I thought, at least at first.

Want to see a real master at work? Here he is! Just kidding. This is, after all, trying to apply paint.

I applied the paint to paper and decided to test how it would look on my leg. My wife gave me her tights that were too small for her, they were a little more transparent, so I got what I wanted. Of course, the inscription that was made with paint looked great. But I also liked how the inscription looked on its own. And that’s where I stopped.

I used two rolls of paper, each about 2 meters long. After measuring approximately the size I needed, I chose two types of paper. Somewhat unusual. The inscription Shoke Me was made on blue paper, while Love Me was on red. This was already a certain reference to the person’s perception of gender.

And although the inscription was uneven, I trimmed the edges, thereby making it more similar to something. There were fewer problems with Choke Me, but it was printed in segments of 4 phrases (Choke Me Choke Me) because otherwise the file weighed too much and the printer refused to print. After printing, I glued the back side with tape, because it was understood that the thermal paper itself is quite thin and can tear at the most inconvenient moment.

I attached the ribbon to double-sided tape at the bottom. This allowed me to pull the tights on comfortably so that the text wouldn’t come to naught.

It’s also worth mentioning another part of the look. It was diluted with two elements. One of them didn’t make it into the previous photos and it’s a huge bow that I won at a local auction. It’s really cool and it went perfectly with this head. The other element is… ties. Is there anything more sexist in our society than ties? It’s a sign of a business man. In general, a sign of a man. I would have liked to have just colored ribbons in my hair, but in this case the ties defined the meaning. Until today I didn’t know how to tie them, so I had to learn something new.

The first part of the photo shoot was not very successful and here’s why. Firstly, I didn’t notice how the bow was pressed against my face, thereby creating an ugly picture. The second aspect is that I forgot that when using AC lamps (in our case 220 volts) you need to turn on the mechanical shutter so that there are no black lines in the photo.

For example, here’s a good angle, the inscriptions are clearly visible, but the bow ruins everything. At the same time… you can see how cool it is 🙂

Here the bow is even better visible.

Here’s a rough example of what I’d like to get. At least it’s pretty close to it.

A separate element was the chains that I didn’t mention. Like the Japanese-style dress, it’s a symbol of enslavement. Coercion to do something. That’s why the hand stretches out, as if in the song the words “i need all you love”, but the hand itself remains chained.

This same shot refers more to the lines “Save me.. inside I’m blazing” – as if trying to escape from confinement.

I like the original (yesterday’s) picture better, but this one will be the end of this post. Thanks for watching! Soon I will tell you about another work that is already on Deviantart, but not yet exhibited here 🙂
