The lion’s share of the things I do remain “off-screen.” Most often, these are archives of photos from my phone (in cases where I didn’t forget to take them). And it would be great to post them from time to time (which I used to do on FB, before I kicked a bunch of people off it and killed them), but systematicity is not my thing.
A week ago I quit my job after several months. Not least because I didn’t have time for other things. How did I spend my first “free” week? Oh…not bad.
I came up with (or rather made) a compost pit from the dismantling of a summer shower (the slate came from there). I have already managed to check the operation of a 200 mm drill (screwed to a screwdriver) – the holes for the posts, so to speak, “dug themselves”. Despite the stones and glass in the ground, it is very convenient and easy to make holes for various purposes (I managed, among other things, to repair the fence).
A few weeks ago I bought a couple of barrels from people. Together (I cut them, my wife painted them) we are finishing a project for street garbage cans (for ourselves, of course, because we are pigs). A 60-liter barrel makes a container that can easily fit a standard-sized bag. Otherwise, you can take out the garbage into the tanks without a bag. The design turned out interesting – we had to burn the old oil from the tanks (the leftovers, I drained the main part, of course), so after burning the paper, the paint from the tank peeled off a little. We used it artistically and simply painted the bald spots with red paint. I wanted it to be a kind of “homeless tank”, and it turned out to be something like that. I also thought about adding legs, but I think they would be superfluous there 🙂
A few days ago, someone threw some boards near the garbage cans. I (a homeless person, considering the kind of cans I make) couldn’t pass them by and decided to pick them up. It all ended up with the creation of several raised beds from what was there. We sowed some plants, we’ll see what happens, because last time the experience was positive.
The cover for the manhole (water supply) was an “old dream”, because it was simply covered with a piece of slate and pieces of linoleum. I didn’t take a photo of how it was before, but now it looks neater. What’s interesting is that the slate was taken from the same former summer shower.
Finally, something I affectionately called a “porn rack.” Why “porn”? Well… because, usually, such things are more common in some thematic videos, where people have a whole closet with toys and other things. Here it is more modest, and is used more for photos. The lighting is absolutely terrible, we will have to make a video somehow ^_^
Among the unusual projects, I tried to repair… a… Fun Factory Bi Stronic Fusion vibrator, purchased for $2 (for your understanding, the price in the store is about $200). I plan to patch up a post about this on the main blog.
In the near future, I plan to clean up the yard, assemble a new battery for the electric bike, and write a bunch of blog posts (finally). Phew. Something like that 🙂
