Well. As you can see from the work – I’m a bit bloodied, but still alive 🙂

What is this work dedicated to? The song by The Broken View, namely Something Better. I liked it a long time ago, but there was no reason to do anything about it, anyway. Did it appear? Apparently..

Let’s go through the references.
In the clip and in the song itself, before the second verse, you can hear the sound of a phone number being dialed. Actually, the phone is the main reference, where the subscriber did not pick up the phone from the subscriber “You” and picked up the phone when he dialed “Something Better”. It’s about the fact that sometimes you can’t hear one person, but when someone else calls you, who you really need – you will pick it up and hear his voice.

Actually, the chokehold that I made around the phone is about the fact that sometimes relationships suffocate us, limiting breathing and space.

The third element in the photo is a mount to which a rope is tied. This is a symbol of our attachment to someone.

The fourth element is blood – bleeding, which implies that every difficult relationship ends with the loss of a part of oneself.

Thus, this work is dedicated to difficult relationships with a person who limits our space, not giving us even the slightest choice.

“You don’t have to be the one to lose
You don’t have to be the one to tell a lie
You don’t have to be the one to choose
You don’t have to be the one to say goodbye
And I don’t have to be the one to take all this
Time you’ve wasted being dishonest
But I will not be the one who never got the chance to change your mind

Again I’m all alone and left without a reason
To hope you learn, to watch you turn a blind eye to a feeling
So this is the only chance that you’ll get to see this through
My eyes before I believe in something better than you”

I recommend watching the official music video for the song, which will give you a little more of a picture of what this work is about 🙂
