“I wanna skin you alive
I wanna wear your flesh like a costume
I wanna skin you alive
I wanna be, I wanna be human”

4 days ago, I came across a song that I had previously ignored. I added it to my playlist and thought about doing a creative work on its theme. I immediately remembered that I have a “Young Halloweener’s Kit”, and I wanted to combine everything at once – try the kit, take a photo and add a little bit of myself – from time to time I repair electronics. So… that’s how this work was born.

Where did it all start?

There’s this thing called “Silicone modeling compound.” It’s two-component, so to use it, you need to mix the contents of jar A and jar B. It’s kind of like epoxy glue, each part of which doesn’t harden, but you get the effect when you mix it.

We also add foundation, which will give this liquid skin colour. My foundation is a bit of a mismatch in colour, but I used what I had.

After that, we start applying the resulting mass to the skin. In fact, we are applying another skin to our own.

We evenly smooth out the new skin so that we don’t have unnecessary scars. It should be noted here that I got the proportions a little off (compared to what I saw in the video of one of the lessons). So in the future I will try different proportions (or read the instructions before using).

After that, carefully make an incision to get a straight line.

We sprinkle our newly formed wound with talcum powder – as I understand it, this will allow the new skin to finally dry out.

We start applying thick blood to the middle of the wound. In the video I saw that they use ear sticks – I decided to try doing it with them too.

This picture shows the imperfections of the work, but it’s a first experience after all. Plus, I didn’t have the right tool for application 🙂

One of the new things I tried (in addition to everything else that was also a first) was blood in aerosol form. Interesting experience, interesting look. I liked it. Good thing I have a couple more jars of the same thing coming to me from the auctions. By the way, at auctions – this lot cost me about three dollars. It’s cheaper than anywhere else. So I was very pleased to win it 🙂

The most interesting part started when I had to insert radio components into myself, and because of how realistic it looked, sometimes you had the feeling that you were about to feel more than just something being inserted inside you (haha, I’m used to having it inserted into other parts of my body…).

And the shooting began…

Here is a closer shot to see one of the options for placing the parts. It would be great to add some more wires or, even better, a light bulb that glows. I think there will be something like that in the future.

It looked pretty good with normal light too.

The final part of the work was in the background. I remembered that I had old laptop boards lying around and decided to add them.

A work that stood out to me was one where one colour was separated from the others. In our case, red.

The parts held up pretty well, even at an angle. Although a couple of pieces managed to fall out.

When I got the details out of me, it was a bit creepy. Exactly what I wanted to achieve in my work.

After the photoshoot, I removed my “scar” and put it away. I think it can be used again. What does it remind me of?

It may sound strange, but in terms of tactile sensations, it very much resembles a cyberskin dildo. The ones that are closest to natural ones. There was even a thought that they are made of something like that. Because it is too similar.

The only thing left was the joy of the work done and the fact that I discovered something new for myself. I think that in the future I will only develop this direction, because it may even become a profession in the future. So…just go ahead! 🙂

This is my first experience with makeup of this kind and my second with makeup in general. I watched a few examples on YouTube and decided to check from scratch how it works in general.

What about the song. I really liked her lyrics, such as:

“I thought it was cool to feel
Now I’m the fool
What do you take me for?
This wasn’t the plan, I wanna lay down

Get away from me
I thought wearing your mask
Would let me understand
Now I’m just covered in
The dirty blood of man
Don’t think I wanna know
Is being human just a joke, a fake, a filthy liar”
