Do you feel alive?..

Where’s the light inside your eyes?

This work is based on a rather powerful song by the band Halflives. The song is called “Eat Sleep Work Die!!! Repeat”. It has been the fuel of my internal engine for several months, and it is one of the works of this band that I wanted to visualize in my work.

In this work, I would like to draw attention to a few moments. Unfortunately, 30 coins did not fit in my hand, but this is a reference to the biblical theme of Judas and 30 coins. You can also see the “light inside your eyes” mentioned in the song. This is a reference to my old work, where I also used this mask and made candles instead of eyes.

The initial idea at the time was to photograph it in one frame, but later I decided to simply combine the two shots. Here the eyes are also made of candles.

The third reference is the “heads” of the wolves, this is also a reference to the phrase “Threw a feast and then called the wolves” from the song.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that this work is also based on a person who said that she lacks “life” in her life. When life seems to have everything, but something is missing. And something tells me that she would like this song too.
