It’s even funny how much this song is about me today…
It’s quite old, but every time I come across some previously unheard song by Yonaka, I look at it with different eyes. And over time I start to like it.
When I heard the new songs, it seemed to me that I had “grown out of them”. That at this stage the band and I had gone our separate ways. But, again, after listening a little, I realized that it fully met my expectations. When I heard Hit me when I’m sore – I remembered the times of My Lady Jane, when at the moment when the song was playing in their performance, I emotionally wanted to… cry? Probably, yes.
Now I’m listening to another song. This is Life West by The Material. One of the reasons why I stopped communicating with one person was her opinion about this song. But not about that yet.
Yonaka still holds a special place in my heart and my playlist. Because…it’s me.
